Kivalliq Alternative Energy
March 18, 2025

Kivalliq Alternative Energy (KAE) is planning a wind energy project in Rankin Inlet. Once built, the project will provide clean, reliable, and affordable energy to the community, increasing energy independence and security while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and a dependence on imported fossil fuels. Before moving forward, we want to hear from the Rankin Inlet Community. Your feedback will help KAE make informed decisions on wind turbine locations and minimize environmental and wildlife impacts.

Next Steps
KAE will be hosting a town hall in Rankin Inlet on April 10 to share the results of the survey and answer any questions about the project. This is an opportunity to learn more, voice your concerns, and ask questions directly.
The feedback from this survey will help KAE assess community concerns and inform the final project location. Once a location is confirmed, additional technical studies and regulatory applications will take place. For more information or questions, contact us at: contact@kivalliqalternativeenergy.com
Thank you for your participation and support in shaping the future of clean energy in Rankin Inlet!
