Call for Artists: Ikayuut Solar Cultural Legacy Project in Naujaat

KAE is seeking expressions of interest from artists and creatives in the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut to develop a cultural legacy project alongside the new Ikayuut Solar and Energy Storage Project in Naujaat, Nunavut.


This initiative offers an opportunity to leverage the innovative landscape of renewable energy as a platform to share and preserve Inuit knowledge, heritage, and values.


KAE invites submissions of unique artistic expressions that reflect the spirit and aspirations of the local Naujaat community and themes of sustainable energy, environment, community empowerment, and the integration of Inuit values with modern technology.


Respondents may express interest in developing one of the following:

  • Children's Book

  • Public Artwork

  • Open Creative Idea


Submission Deadline Extended

Please submit proposals with an estimated budget and timeline via email by:

5 pm Central Standard Time on August 12, 2024

Honorarium: Up to four candidates will be shortlisted. A $1,000.00 honorarium will be provided to each shortlisted candidate to refine their proposals for final selection.
